We are the most curious of animals.

I take all the might, will and imagination that I can muster and translate what it it is to be here in this time and place.

I am endlessly fascinated that no two people see color the same.

  • Useful Tools

Inspired by the times we live in, I am exploring our relationship with ‘archaic objects’ in this age of technology and intention. Manual typewriters and adding machines. Hand tools. The beauty of their design and their physical weight captivate me. I feel the souls of those that have held them.

  • Portraits

Opening and corralling bookshops in San Francisco since 1985, I have had the opportunity to interact with many, many people. I have been inspired, dismayed, and eventually star-struck by the potential of the human spirit.

  • Quadrupeds

Life size portraits of animals are my form of cave painting. They thrill me.
